Reel People by Reel Ads — Brand Terms & Conditions

By creating an account and posting a brief on Reel People, you ("the Brand") agree to the following terms.

1. About the Platform

Reel People is a two-sided marketplace operated by Reel Ads that connects brands with verified human UGC (user-generated content) video creators. We facilitate the matching, production, delivery, and payment process for video content briefs.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate company information when creating your brand profile.

• Accounts are for business use only. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

3. Brief Submission & Payment

• All brief preferences must be submitted using the platform's structured input fields (dropdowns and tag selectors).

• A brief only goes live and enters the matching process after upfront payment is received by the platform.

• Payment is accepted by PayFast payment gateway. Funds are transferred directly to the platform upon payment — no escrow arrangement applies.

• Pricing is calculated automatically based on video volume, per the current published rate card. Rates are subject to change; the rate displayed at the time of payment is binding for that deal.

4. AI Script Generation

• Upon confirmed payment, the platform will generate a draft video script using AI.

• You may edit sections inline or regenerate individual sections before approving.

• A language selection of English is available. Other language options may be made available upon special request.

• Once you approve the script, it is locked and attached to the deal. No further edits are permitted after approval.

5. Creator Matching

• Matching is performed algorithmically using structured tag alignment between your brief and verified creator profiles. There is no semantic search or manual curation by default.

• Creator names, social handles, and personal contact details are not disclosed to brands during or before a deal except for when shipping of physical products is required.

6. Content Review & Revisions

• Once a creator submits their video, you will be notified to review it via your deal dashboard.

• You are entitled to two rounds of revisions per video. Revision feedback should be submitted using the platform's structured feedback tools.

• After the revision rounds, you must either approve or escalate to a dispute — no further revisions will be facilitated.

• Upon approval, you may download the final content directly from the platform using the link supplied by the creator.

7. Content Ownership & Usage

• Upon full payment and your approval of the delivered content, you are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the content for the purposes specified in your original brief.

• You warrant that any product information, descriptions, and reference materials submitted with your brief do not infringe any third-party rights.

• Reel People retains the right to use anonymised deal data for platform improvement purposes.

8. Platform Trust Rules

• All communication between brands and creators must occur through the platform. Attempting to share or solicit contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, social handles, or external URLs) via any free-text field is prohibited and will be blocked.

• Brands may not request delivery of content outside of the platform.

• Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

9. Refunds & Disputes

• All payments are non-refundable once a creator has been matched and has accepted your brief.

• If a creator fails to deliver, is unresponsive, or the content does not meet the agreed brief after the revision rounds, you may raise a dispute through the platform. Reel People will review and resolve disputes at its sole discretion.

• Reel People does not guarantee a specific match turnaround time, though the system is designed to match as quickly as possible.

10. Prohibited Use

You may not use the platform to brief content that:

• Is misleading, defamatory, or unlawful

• Promotes illegal products or services

• Violates the rights of any third party

• Targets minors inappropriately

11. Limitation of Liability

Reel People is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or content produced through it. Our total liability in any matter is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific deal in question.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
